Job Description

Performs quality inspections of components, door parts and assemblies, per quality standards. Communicates quality issues to QC Manager and All Supervisors. Quarantines questionable doors /components. Operates measurement equipment; understands and communicates results to all a staff. 

The position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, develop solutions, and implement best practices to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.



Onsite Position in Thorp WI. 7:00am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday. OT as needed on Fridays. 



Overview:



•    Perform dimensional inspections to product requirements (incoming, in-process and final) by matching                 components to engineering drawing and specifications.

•    Participate in the implementation of product quality improvement initiatives to reduce process variation and         prevent defects.

•    Identifies raw material condition by collecting material samples; conducting inspections and requesting                 testing as required.

•    Ability to work without direct supervision.

•    Ability to prioritize projects and the flexibility to deal with interruptions and reprioritize as needed.

•    Knowledge of safety and security measures when utilizing equipment and materials.

•    Performing in-process and final inspections on finished products.

•    Remove all non-confirming material from production floor and prepare a log sheet for inventory adjustment.

•    Must be able to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

•    Ability to use computer equipment and software applications (MS-Office Products)

•    Ability to use calibrated measuring equipment including a comparator, caliper, weight scales, height gauges,       micrometers, etc.

•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. from the floor level up to the inspection station.

•    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail required.

•    Knowledge of manufacturing processes (including assembly, fabrication, and glazing).

•    Support production team under supervision of production supervisors if needed. 

•    Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.

•    Excellent communication skills
