Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Develop project-based curriculum for younger youth and oversee its implementation

  • Train Project Facilitators to effectively implement project-based learning activities

  • Train Work Readiness Facilitator to effectively implement curriculum

  • Develop work readiness curriculum for older youth

  • Create project-based learning summary for younger youth work readiness training using Microsoft PowerPoint and lead one-hour training

  • Schedule project-based learning activities

  • Arrange for guest speakers, as applicable

  • Work closely with Counselors to address academic barriers youth may be facing and work with youth to resolve them

  • Assist youth with college application process and form linkages with colleges

  • Participate in weekly meetings with Program Director and Job Developer

  • Assist Project Developer in the coordination of culminating event

  • Other related duties as assigned



COMPETENCIES




  • Minimum of three years related experience working in the field of youth development

  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

  • Must be able to effectively prioritize responsibilities, set and meet deadlines; strong communication & writing skills

  • Prior experience developing and facilitating project-based activities preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Office
