Description
The Dispatcher works as part of a cross-functional team to dispatch field service technicians to achieve service level agreements with manufacturers and customers while maintaining efficiency in travel time. You will work closely with our team of technicians, customers, and other departments to ensure all return jobs are processed and completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Functions
§ Respond to technicians’ calls and/or questions.
§ Send and distribute parts to technicians.
§ Coordinate all reactive service calls to appropriate technicians
§ Communicate with field supervisors regularly
§ Communicate effectively with customers on changes to schedules
§ Process all return call information and place part orders as needed
§ Coordinate equipment preparation with shop and warehouse
§ Assist with the scheduling of preventative maintenance and cleaning programs
§ Write purchase orders and enter any rewrites to service.
§ Manage Service Estimates, quoting service jobs.
§ Act as back-up to CSRs as required.
Requirements
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School diploma required.
- 5+ years of customer service experience
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Prior dispatch experience is desirable
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and without close supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; positive attitude; team player.
