Description
The Quality Supervisor ensures all flooring products received into the Distribution Center meet company quality standards. This role oversees inbound inspections, identifies defects, and works with operations and vendors to prevent substandard products from reaching stores.
Summary
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Inspect incoming flooring materials (hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile) for damage, defects, and accuracy
- Verify product against purchase orders and quality standards
- Determine disposition of product (accept, reject, hold, return)
- Document and report quality issues and trends
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve recurring issues
- Supervise and train quality team members
- Maintain inspection records and track key quality metrics
- Collaborate with DC operations to balance efficiency and quality standards
WHAT IS REQUIRED:
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a quality, warehouse, or distribution environment
- Experience with building materials or flooring preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
