Duties

Consult and collaborate with management to develop controls and procedures for compliance.,Research, collect system generated data, analyze information to conduct management studies and Business Case Analysis (BCA).,Formulate, prepare, generate, and present findings, briefing reports, charts, staff studies, and executive summaries.,Coordinate, prepare, and plan the annual departmental operating budget; develop cost account analyses, projections, and justifications.,Perform as administrative and technical liaison between the Contracting Officer's Technical Representatives (COTR) and Contracting Office (CO).,Initiate requests for funding of the contracts and works directly with the local RMD, contractor offices, and DFAS vendor pay to resolve complex contract pay related problems.,Enforce management developed performance standards and provides feedback as to completion of work by employees.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative or clinical management in a health care environment; analyzing health care information to evaluate and/or recommend improvements for the effectiveness or efficiency of health care services; and providing management advice on matters pertaining to access and/or quality of care in a medical treatment facility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
