Compensation / Benefits

  • $14.29-$23.34/hr based on previous work experience.
  • Evening differential $1.50/hr.
  • Night differential $1.75/hr.
  • Weekend differential $1.75/hr.

Our Medical team provides medical/surgical care to adult populations with a wide variety of complex medical conditions. We focus our efforts on restoring optimal physical and mental well-being in each unique situation with a constant goal of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patients. Our unit consists of 16 med/surg tele beds and provides post-op colorectal surgical care. 


Job Summary

Job Summary

  • Provides basic patient care.
  • Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
  • Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse.
  • Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures.
  • Facilitates processing of patients
  • Provides clerical receptionist support
  • Provides Coordinating Support
  • Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department

Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED. 
  • Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.

Experience

  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. 
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

 

Licensure/Certification

  • Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. 
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. 
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
