Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator provides comprehensive support to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Services and
Quality Improvement. This position is responsible for assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, compliance
with district, state and federal policies and laws, and supporting staff with HR-related inquiries. The HR Coordinator ensures
efficient processes that foster a positive employee experience and supports the overall mission of the school district.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Greets visitors courteously and assists with their needs, when necessary.
- Answers office telephone and responds appropriately to requests for information, when necessary.
- Assists with staff recruitment: including the preparation of postings for open positions; statewide and local; maintaining application program; pre-screening applicants; scheduling interviews; and maintaining application files.
- Maintain onboarding information for all employees and assist with the electronic program to maintain such records.
- Maintain and assist with the Absence Management system for employees.
- Assist Executive Directors, Assistant Superintendents and Superintendent with various staff reports.
- Become familiar with Lebanon R-3 School Board policies and answer questions and aid in enforcing policies.
- Update yearly required local and federal postings for the district.
- Monitors staff attendance for policy compliance.
- Assists Benefits Coordinator in monitoring FMLA.
- Maintain compliance training program and assign training videos to all staff.
- Process all resignations, retirements, and separations for the district.
- Compile Lebanon R-3 School Board personnel report.
- Attends meetings and maintains minutes for various committees the Assistant Superintendent organizes.
- Responsible for all phases of teacher contracts.
- Maintains list of teacher certification and responsible for notifications to teachers within expiration deadlines.
- Maintains personnel files for all employees.
- Processes requests for tuition reimbursement from certified staff.
- Maintain the electronic file set for all staff; including but not limited to, address changes, salary shifts, graduate hour and PD credit updates, and certification updates.
- Serves as the undergraduate student services and placement coordinator for the district.
- Compile and maintain volunteer listing and background checks for the district.
- Works with third party administrators for substitute teacher approval and placement, and processes weekly billing of substitutes.
- Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) assistant Local Authority Security Officer (LASO) for all background checks performed on all employees as well as field any RapBacks received and maintains current required clearance.
- Maintains district wide manual of job descriptions and provide to buildings as needed.
- Process loan forgiveness paperwork as assigned
- Maintain a schedule of appointments for Assistant Superintendent.
- Monitor unemployment claims for compliance and protest if necessary.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Certificates
- High school diploma required; college is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of office experience with preference given to executive level.
- Advanced computer skills required.
- Such alternative to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Skills and Abilities
Language
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. The individual must be able to read and interpret documents; compile simple and complex reports, applications, and correspondence; and effectively speak with students, staff members, and community members.
Computation
Familiarity with modern accounting practices is preferred.
Reasoning
The ability to interpret and follow directions whether written or verbal is required, as are basic problem-solving abilities.
Technology
Must have extensive computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, Google, and internet. Must have the ability to learn new systems and software with instruction.

This individual must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels while maintaining a high degree of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.

While performing the duties of this position an employee is required to sit for prolonged periods of time; also, occasional walking is required as in a general office setting. The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach, bend, and lift or carry up to 30 pounds. The employee must have the ability to hear conversation both in person and via telephone in a general office setting. Prolonged computer use required.
