Job Description
Role Description:

At Booking.com, data drives our decisions. Technology is at our core. And innovation is everywhere. But our company is more than datasets, lines of code or A/B tests. We’re the thrill of the first night in a new place. The excitement of the next morning. The friends you encounter. The journeys you take. The sights you see. And the memories you make. Through our products, partners and people, we make it easier for everyone to experience the world.

Booking.com is one of the world’s leading digital travel companies. As part of Booking Holdings, which includes brands like Priceline and Agoda, we help advertisers reach high-intent travelers through the Travel Media Network. Our advertising portfolio spans Sponsored Listings (auction-based native ads) and Display & Offsite Media (reservation-based campaigns) - together enabling partners to reach travelers at every stage of their journey.

The Yield Specialist plays a critical role in maximizing the commercial performance of Booking.com’s Travel Media Network. The role spans the entire monetization spectrum - from automated, auction-driven Sponsored Listings to high-impact, reservation-based Display and Offsite campaigns.

As part of the Commercial Excellence team, the Yield Specialist ensures we make the most out of every impression, click, and campaign by combining data-driven optimization, pricing governance, and forecasting accuracy. This role sits at the crossroads of commercial strategy, data, and operations - translating performance insights into actions that drive revenue growth and long-term advertiser success.

Reporting to the Manager Commercial Excellence, the Yield Specialist will collaborate with Finance, Ad Ops, Product, Data Science, and regional Commercial teams to shape our global yield management approach and ensure our monetization frameworks are both scalable and profitable.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Yield Optimization and Pricing Strategy

  • Monitor performance and yield across both Sponsored Listings (auction-based) and Display/Offsite (reservation-based) channels.
  • Analyze fill rates, floor prices, bid landscapes, and pacing data to identify revenue optimization opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement floor price adjustments, bid-shading strategies, or dynamic pricing logic for Sponsored Products.
  • Support the design and governance of global rate cards for Display, ensuring consistency, margin control, and market competitiveness.
  • Identify supply and demand gaps across channels, proposing inventory reallocation or prioritization tactics to balance utilization.

Forecasting and Revenue Management

  • Build and maintain forecasting models for both auction and reservation-based products, incorporating seasonality, market demand, and yield trends.
  • Partner with Finance and Product Ops to deliver accurate pacing, sell-through, and revenue projections.
  • Conduct variance analyses and provide actionable insights to improve forecast accuracy and revenue realization.
  • Develop yield dashboards and reporting frameworks for leadership and regional sales teams.

Commercial Systems and Process Enablement

  • Ensure yield logic and floor pricing configurations are correctly implemented in internal tools and ad servers (e.g., Sponsored Ads platform, Salesforce, internal pricing modules).
  • Partner with Product and Data Science to evolve yield algorithms and bidding logic in Sponsored Listings.
  • Collaborate with Sales Ops and Ad Ops to operationalize yield recommendations in campaign setup and pricing workflows.
  • Contribute to automation and tooling improvements that streamline pricing governance and reporting.

Cross-Functional and Intercompany Collaboration

  • Act as the link between Commercial, Ad Ops, Product, and Data teams to align on revenue optimization initiatives.
  • Work closely with regional sales teams to communicate pricing rationale and ensure yield actions are understood and applied consistently.
  • Exchange benchmarks and best practices with Priceline and Agoda Ads to harmonize yield logic and share performance insights across the BHI network.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Media Strategy to ensure yield insights inform go-to-market narratives and RFP responses.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in yield management, ad operations, revenue management, or data analytics, preferably within the digital advertising or travel industry.

  • Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and SQL. You have a proven ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business insights.

  • Strategic Thinking: Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, auction dynamics (e.g., CPC, eCPM, bid auctions), and supply-side platforms (SSPs).

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving: A proactive mindset with the ability to identify bottlenecks and develop creative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

  • Collaboration: Experience working in a global, cross-functional team environment.
