Edgerton Hospital and Health Services is seeking a skilled, adaptable, and patient-centered Clinic Registered Nurse to join our multi-specialty clinic team.  This unique role supports a variety of visiting specialty providers and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.  This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced clinic setting, enjoys variety in their daily work, and can confidently balance independent decision-making with collaborative team support. 

What makes this role unique:

Our multi-specialty clinic hosts visiting physicians and specialists, requiring a nurse who can flex with changing provider schedules, specialty workflows, and patient needs.  Clinics can include: 

  • ENT
  • Pulmonology
  • Endocrinology
  • Cardiology
  • General Surgery
  • Podiatry

Success in this role requires someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable adapting day-to-day to support efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient care.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support visiting specialty providers in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care
  • Perform patient triage, assessments, education, and nursing interventions
  • Coordinate care and manage clinic flow to support patient access and provider efficiency
  • Prepare patients, treatment areas, and records for specialty clinic visits
  • Assist with procedures, orders, referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up coordination
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
  • Serve as a resource and support to the care team while anticipating clinic needs

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working in a clinic or ambulatory care setting
  • Strong critical thinking skills and sound clinical judgement
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with providers and staff
  • Confidence managing fast-paced clinics with variable routines
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and shift focus quickly based on clinic flow and patient needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support multiple specialties and provider preferences
  • Experience with EPIC EMR and strong documentation skills
  • Excellent triage, communication, and patient education skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership in supporting both patients and providers

 

Requirements

  • Current WI RN license
  • Current BLS certification
  • 1-2 years of nursing experience in a clinic or ambulatory setting preferred
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
