MNVA High School ELA Teacher

Minnesota Virtual Academy (MNVA) is seeking a full-time dedicated High School English Language Arts Teacher. In this position, you will support students' language development in an engaging online environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication, technology, and collaboration skills. The position begins with the 2026-2027 school year
 
Qualifications: 

• A current Minnesota Department of Education (PELSB) ELA teaching license.
• Proficiency in using online learning platforms and technology to facilitate instruction.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to manage responsibilities effectively in a remote work environment.

Additional Qualifications:

• Demonstrates continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration, and/or job-embedded staff development.
• Working knowledge of the subject matter, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students' learning styles and needs.

Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

While the District is located in the rural bluff country of southeast Minnesota, teachers located in various parts of the state work primarily from their homes to deliver essential content courses.
