The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s largest small business advocacy organization, looks to hire an Office Assistant to join it's team in Nashville.
Responsibilities
The Office Assistant position provides front desk support and administrative assistance. Serves as first point of contact and impression for callers and visitors. Assists with special projects including setting up and coordination for employee meetings, employee social functions or employee team building events. Sorts and distributes mail; order supplies; and maintains the central supply inventory. Must learn the security system software and maintain employees and tenant information as needed. Prepare weekly security reports. Manages office equipment and building maintenance requests. Answer calls for Facilities and the IT Service Desk. Our offices are located in the Donelson/BNA area and this role will be fully in office. The role will be 30 hours a week and is benefit eligible.
Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; work outcomes must meet and / or exceed productivity and quality standards. Must be able to work as part of a cooperative team environment and independent of direct supervision; adhere to Company and Department policies and procedures, including regular and predictable attendance. Performs other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) to three (3) year general office experience.
- Meeting planning experience including knowledge of event organization.
- General computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams is preferred.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little direction.
