Software Developer III
SPN Solutions Inc. is seeking a Software Developer III to join our team supporting a critical Navy contract at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, California. This position is located on-site at the Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego California and has the potential for telework as authorized. This role requires a Secret security clearance or the ability to be cleared, a deep technical expertise in Agile software development, modern programming languages, Microsoft Power Platform, and cloud computing technologies. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with software integration, database management, and automation solutions, bringing advanced knowledge in RPA and AI-driven processes to enhance efficiencies in a mission-critical environment.
Annual Salary: $90,000
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Security Clearance: Secret or clearable
- Experience: 5+ years in software development, with in-depth knowledge of web-based applications, desktop applications, and database integration.
Role Responsibilities:
- Application Development and Programming:
- Lead the design, configuration, and custom development of SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform solutions (Power BI, Power Automate, PowerApps).
- Develop web-based applications that support data visualization, interactive dashboards, and dynamic reporting tools for decision-making.
- Design and implement user-friendly GUIs with high-level functionality across applications for data-driven environments.
- Cloud Computing and Azure DevOps:
- Build and manage infrastructure within Microsoft Azure, focusing on scalable application deployment and serverless architecture.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring rapid development, deployment, and troubleshooting of software applications.
- Integrate cloud-based solutions with on-premises applications and databases to maintain consistent, high-performance data workflows.
- Process Automation and Dashboard Development:
- Develop custom business applications to automate workflows, utilizing tools across the Microsoft Power Platform for enhanced process efficiency and optimized reporting.
- Apply RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions using UiPath to streamline repetitive tasks, enabling scalable, automated solutions that improve team productivity.
- Implement and support AI-driven process automation solutions, including OpenAI GPT models and machine learning frameworks, to enhance decision support systems.
- Standards and Integration:
- Establish and enforce best practices for software development, configuration management, and data security. Drive the adoption of coding standards and ensure compliance with DoD and Navy requirements.
- Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to define clear, scalable requirements and specifications that meet both functional and performance standards.
- Lead integration efforts across multiple systems, facilitating interoperability between cloud environments, local databases, and external applications.
- Data Management and Database Integration:
- Engage in advanced database integration tasks, supporting structured and unstructured data flows. Design and implement SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimization techniques to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Develop and maintain complex data models, supporting business intelligence and data visualization requirements using Power BI and related tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database and data flow issues across systems, working closely with ETL personnel to enhance data pipeline accuracy.
