The Quality Technician is accountable for testing and inspecting products/processes at various stages of production.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections of equipment, materials, and processes.
- Conduct routine HACCP (FSP) inspections.
- Conduct plant quality inspections of both product and processes.
- Perform calibration of laboratory and foreign material detection equipment, where applicable.
- Complete analytical test method validation studies.
- Responsible for analytical testing of in-process and finished product testing according to prescribed procedures and logging of data into database.
- Performs all duties in safe manner observing all EHS standards and laboratory safety guidelines.
- Performs and maintains legible records of preventative maintenance for all laboratory equipment on prescribed basis.
- Maintain QC document storage and backup system.
- Conduct quality and environmental analytical testing.
- Provide back-up support for other Quality Technicians and/or Quality Specialists on an as needed basis (including vacation/absence coverage).
- Work flexible hours and provide after-hours support including weekend and holiday operations, when needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Associate’s degree, required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of lab related experience, preferred.
- Experience with HACCP, GMPs, SAP, and ISO, preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
