Job Description

Seaforest Bakeshop is a  Korean-American bakery serving freshly baked pastries and great coffee in our sunny corner cafe.  We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic barista to join our team.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years recent barista experience*
  • Proficiency with espresso machine (manual machine experience is ideal)
  • Weekend availability* (at least 1 day), ability to cover additional shifts occasionally
  • 3 shifts per week standard, 8 hour shifts 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, climb stairs
Responsibilities:
  • Keep espresso machine is dialed in, drip coffee always fresh, and drink ingredients are stocked and prepared for service
  • Follow recipes and uphold high standard of quality and consistency in every drink
  • Handle payments, package pastries, provide positive customer experience
  • Communicate with kitchen to keep pastry case full and well presented throughout the day 
  • Learn all menu items to converse comfortably with customers about ingredients, flavors and origins
  • Keep all cafe areas clean and organized
