Hazel Park Schools Additional Information: Show/Hide Maintain the confidentiality of all student, staff, and administrative correspondence.
Perform all assigned tasks in a prompt and professional manner.
In the absence of immediate administrative direction, act in the best interests of the students and the school district.
Maintain behavior and utilize behavior intervention when necessary.
Assist with student self care needs.
Assistant teachers in the implementation of Individual Education Plans/Individual Family Service Plans (IEP’s)/IFSP’s.
Assist students with social integration
Consultation and collaboration with Special Education and General Education Teachers as well as related services staff (ancillary)
Familiarize and support the implementation of specific student requirements and supports (AAC Devices, visuals, behavioral support plans).
Deal with teachers, pupils, parents and the public with friendliness, tact and poise.
Perform other duties and assignments as may be directed by administrator, or assigned professional staff member.

SPECIFICS
• Regular School Year Position.
• 35 hours per week (Monday through Friday).
• Located at Webster Early Childhood Center.
• Level 4 salary schedule.
• Work schedule will be normal schedule as provided for in the Master Agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Applicants should have experience and rate high in the following areas:
• Will have successfully passed the Work Keys Examination, prior to July 10, 2017 or currently the ETS Assessment (per NCLB Guidelines), or have completed 2 years of college. You must have the support documentation available to apply for this position.
• Shall have at least a high school diploma.
• Good communication skills.
• Good public relations skills.
• Good attendance record is expected.
• Ability to work with minimal direction.
• Ability to work around interruptions.
• Ability to work with a variety of backgrounds.
• Ability to communicate with teachers, pupils, parents, and the public with friendliness and poise.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information.
