Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant Certified (CMA) provides superior patient care and performs both clinical and administrative tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.



Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Graduated from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.

  • Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

  • Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.

  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements: 

  • Associate’s degree.

  • Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care.
