First Division Consulting is seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer at Patuxent River, MD. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) Airborne Systems Integration (ASI) Division announces its intention to procure, on a competitive basis, the services necessary to provide support for Sensor Engineering and Development (SED) to include research, planning, design, development, integration, and demonstration of sensor technologies and capabilities for a variety of manned and unmanned airborne platforms to include any shipborne, fixed, and/or mobile systems necessary to provide the full sensor capability with the ASI Division in support of Department of Navy (DON), Department of Defense (DoD), and other Government agency projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert leadership and management for high-visibility, mission-critical DoD projects and programs, overseeing the design, prototyping, and testing of manned and unmanned airborne, shipborne, fixed, and mobile system platforms, including sensors.
  • Supervise the evaluation and integration of sensors, materials, and equipment into aircraft designs, ensuring interoperability, reliability, and performance.
  • Lead teams to optimize technical processes, enhance testing equipment, drive innovation, and provide training on system operations and testing procedures, ensuring the successful execution of complex airborne projects aligned with defense objectives.
