Job Description:

Your Impact in This Role

 

As part of the King’s Lynn cluster in the UK (active in minerals extraction and trading) you will act as a strategic business partner towards the commercial and operational directors and acting as a real enabler towards the business making a tangible impact on our organization. As financial expert, you lead the full finance organization and manage the human resource and transactional procurement team for the UK.

 

In the role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Planning & Coordination

  • Acts as the central liaison between cluster teams and global/sub‑regional support teams.

  • Ensures effective planning, organization, and coordination of support activities.

Finance & Controlling

  • Oversees product cost planning, inventory accounting, and period-end closing activities.

  • Leads budgeting and forecasting for the cluster.

  • Manages accounting processes (AP/AR), financial reporting (IFRS + statutory), and tax reporting.

HR Management

  • Manages recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding for non‑managerial roles.

  • Supports performance management, employee engagement initiatives, and mandatory trainings.

  • Handles contingent workforce sourcing and HR-related reporting.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Ensures accurate and compliant payroll processing, including journal entries and employee communication.

  • Administers employee benefits, liaises with external providers, and manages related costing and reporting.

  • Maintains HR information systems and legal compliance of employment contracts.

Procurement Support

  • Oversees purchase order creation, mismatch resolution, and small-value supplier negotiations.

  • Ensures accuracy of master data and goods receipt processes.

Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinates annual external audits.

  • Ensures adherence to global end-to-end processes, escalating risks when needed.

Continuous Improvement

  • Supports cluster directors in driving improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

People Management

  • Leads, coaches, and develops the Business Services team.

  • Ensures capability building, a positive work climate, and a culture of engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
