POSITION: Kindergarten Classroom Teacher

GENERAL DUTIES: A Mitchell Elementary School (MES) Classroom teacher works to implement the comprehensive literacy, mathematics, social studies, and science curricula. MES teachers are leaders in their fields and specialize in meeting students' needs in and across a variety of State and National Standards while maintaining and furthering a positive school and classroom climate and culture. MES teachers work with their instructional leaders to engage in data analysis and continually develop research-based lessons that meet the needs of all students. A commitment to researching and implementing effective and dynamic strategies for tier one instruction to include small group instruction is required. MES teachers strive for excellence and engage students in productive struggle to support them in developing the habits of mind and foundational skills necessary to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
