The New Hampshire Food Bank (NHFB) is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Associate. The SNAP Associate will assist the SNAP Outreach Team in the implementation of the Food Bank’s SNAP Outreach Plan to increase access to SNAP to eligible NH residents.

Responsibilities

· Promote SNAP and Nutrition Incentive programs through outreach events, presentations, tabling, and community engagement across New Hampshire.

· Distribute educational materials; explain eligibility requirements and application processes; and address common questions or misconceptions.

· Assist clients with completing and submitting SNAP applications and provide follow-up support throughout the determination process.

· Track outreach activities and client assistance in databases and support monthly, quarterly, and grant-related reporting.

· Collect participant and partner testimonials, quotes, and photos to help document program impact.

· Build and maintain relationships with community partners, market partners, and internal teams.

· Participate in trainings, webinars, and meetings to stay informed on best practices and policy updates.

· Assist with training volunteers and partners as needed.

Support Nutrition Incentive Programs by producing a monthly newsletter and conducting occasional  

Requirements

· High school diploma/GED and two years of work experience in the field of social services required. 

· College degree and experience in field of social services, public health initiatives, food systems/access preferred.

· Valid Driver’s License

· Spanish as a second language a plus.
