Overall Goal of Position:

We are looking for skilled Machine Operators to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You�ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards with a strong sense of urgency. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have the willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Assist set-up tech in pre-maker-ready activities
  • Continually monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements are maintained
  • Make minor machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy
  • Maintain standard production rates, low waste and meet all stated requirements
  • Complete all necessary documentation, logs, and reports
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift, call maintenance when necessary.
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic and attendance record
  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction
  • Good leadership and training skills
  • Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs and adjustments
  • Great time management
  • Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product or operations issues
  • Basic math skills and/or aptitude
  • Positive attitude
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work well in and as a team
  • Dependable mode of transportation

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Fluent in Spanish

Experience:

Minimum 2 years experience

Education:

Minimum High school or equivalent

Additional higher education preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Work minimum 8-hour shifts
  • Wear hair/beard net, gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, face covering, and other personal protective equipment as required.
  • Stand/walk on concrete floor entire shift
  • Pinch/Grip/Grasp regularly
  • Reach � with Arms and Hands regularly
  • Stoop/Kneel/Crouch frequently
  • Twist/Turn/Bend regularly
  • Lift/carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Push/pull/drag 75+ pounds regularly
