Essential Functions Performed by the Position
- Own the company’s standard costing model and ensure continuous updating and robust traceability in line with the development of the manufacturing process.
- Calculate and validate with operations, the costing of new products ensuring the company is pricing its products effectively.
- Drive a disciplined and organised approach across the organisation towards data management and information flow between production, supply chain and finance.
- Work towards creating flexible and insightful analytical models capable of being generated in a short time.
- Continuously work towards implementing automation and efficiency in reporting.
- Use Analytics to guide management on what improvement initiatives should be pursued or prioritised.
- Attend all touchpoint meetings with operations including escalations, Operations review meetings and TIPS and ensure all narratives affecting the company’s finances are flowing though the results, captured accordingly and feedback provided management to ensure alignment on cost impact.
- Work with Operations to create models and tools which will enable the company to execute volume and manufacturing variance budgets and forecasts efficiently and enable quick comparison to actuals. The expectation is that optimisation of this activity will enable the team to move to a weekly basis of forecasting (Pulse forecasting under Crane NXT Processes).
- Present weekly KPIs to the management team as required.
- Oversee a disciplined and compliant cycle count process.
- Ensure your team delivers a timely month end close for all manufacturing and inventory related tasks.
- Ensure your team is compliant with the relevant SOX internal controls.
- Ensure rigorous accuracy of the applicable ledger accounts through balance sheet reconciliations and other financial controls.

Position Qualifications
Education:
- Tertiary level of education in Engineering or Finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Confident in understanding ERP systems and relationships between data tables
Experience:
- Experience of working in a data driven environment (e,g manufacturing, logistics, aerospace, large retail etc) is highly desirable, but less or inexperienced applicants with the appropriate mindset should not be discouraged from applying.
- Working with direct reports.
- Working with other departments to drive cross departmental efficiencies and synergies.
- Working, adapting to and exploiting new systems.
Language Proficiency:
- Proficient in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working Hours and Conditions
- The role will require a heightened degree of on-site presence and mobility within the facility. Whilst flexibility is provided, the candidate is expected to manage/apply this flexibility as they deem appropriate without undermining the deliverables expected of the role.
Physical Characteristics and Demands
- This role will inherently require sedentary periods at a time but will also require a fair amount of movement within the premises to collaborate and coordinate with other areas of operation and attend daily meetings.
