We’re looking for a detail-driven COBRA Billing & Premium Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of accuracy, responsiveness, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you’ll provide COBRA and Direct Billing services to clients and participants while ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations.


 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and administer an assigned COBRA case load from start to finish
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, brokers, insurance carriers, TPAs, and participants via phone and email
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve participant account issues with professionalism and urgency
  • Process and maintain participant account updates, benefit changes, and payment allocations accurately
  • Ensure timely and precise communication of participant changes to insurance carriers and clients
  • Oversee open enrollment processing, including rate updates, benefit changes, carrier updates, and participant invoicing
  • Support Customer Service and Data teams with plan-related questions and escalated matters

Requirements

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State COBRA regulations and eligibility guidelines
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA portability, privacy, and security rules
  • Basic accounting knowledge related to accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
