MAKERS architecture and urban design, LLP is seeking a creative, organized, and collaborative individual for our federal facilities team. Our federal facilities planning work integrates architecture, planning, and supporting disciplines to help agencies and their projects “get off on the right foot”. Primary clients include the US Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. We offer the opportunity to be involved in the most creative and impactful phase of project development and positively impact the agencies we serve.
This position is based in our San Diego office. We support partial work-from-home arrangements with a mix of in-office and site work required.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will bring a diverse perspective and have outstanding organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Typical tasks may include:
- Coordinating and performing site visits to military installations in support of data collection.
- Data entry following procedure-based processes.
- Supporting project managers and senior planners with preparation of written and graphic materials for meetings, presentations, and reports
- Engaging with clients, colleagues, and team members in person and through follow-up communications via phone and email.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in planning, architecture, or a related field.
- of experience in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Must be a problem solver and proactive team member.
- Must work well within a large team and individually at times.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven organizational skills with a focus on efficiency and timely execution.
- Skilled in managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to conduct field work which may include travel.
Desired skills
- GIS and AutoCAD proficiency.
- AICP, RLA, PE, RA certification or License, LEED AP or higher.

Application
This is an hourly, nonexempt position, with a base salary starting at $32/hour, DOE and meeting the qualifications of this job posting.
