Amberwoods of Farmington is currently welcoming applications for a Recreational or Music Therapist to join our team and help enrich quality of life for our residents. We are searching for a candidate who is energetic, outgoing, enthusiastic, creative, a team player, and has a talent for working with people with dementia. Must be able to assess, plan, execute and evaluate a full range of interventions with consideration of residents’ physical and cognitive abilities as well as individual preferences.
Job requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Music Therapy, Certification Preferred
- Experience in dementia care and/or long term care
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Work schedule includes weekends, evenings and holidays
