Prairie View in Hector is looking for Resident Assistants to join our team. Wage Range: $17.50 - $19.33 / hr with a $1.00 / hour shift differential for evening shifts and $1.50 / hour for NOC. Wage depends on previous experience. Experience is preferred but not necessary. We will train you!
  

Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to work as part of the team to ensure quality and safe delivery of home care services. The Resident Assistant works under the direction of a Registered Nurse to perform services for the individual receiving services as necessary to maintain his/her personal comfort.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in providing health and personal care services is desired.

Service Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to, supports and promotes St. Francis Health Services’ Mission and Core Values, philosophy, goals and objectives while conducting company business.
  • Perform personal care activities, in the resident’s home, including but not limited to:
  • Bathing- full or partial. May include tub bath or shower.
  • Shampoo/hair care
  • Skin care/nail care, including foot soaks
  • Oral hygiene/denture care
  • Shaving
  • Dressing
  • Toileting/elimination
  • Assist tenants with ambulation, transfers and exercises as ordered.
  • Perform household services including, but not limited to:
  • Meal planning, preparation/feeding
  • Laundry
  • Light general housekeeping
  • Administer medications and treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Report changes in the resident’s condition and needs to the licensed nurse.
  • Complete the appropriate records to document cares given and pertinent observations.
  • Respond to resident requests promptly.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents and family with respect.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
