Supply Chain: Planning Intern

Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a 2026 summer student intern to join our Planning Department!

North American Internship Program

The Flexco Summer Internship Program has been designed to assist undergraduate students gain exposure to the Manufacturing Industry, provide hands-on experience in their field of interest, and develop professional skills for their future careers.

About This Role…

The Planning team is seeking a detailed, motivated student with problem solving skills to join them this summer! As a Planning Intern, you’ll play a key role in scheduling production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The planning intern will collaborate with manufacturing managers, customer service and procurement to support smooth workflow and timely order completion.

Key Projects and Tasks

  • Scheduling Production – Assist in scheduling production based on material availability and demand forecasts
  • Learn Software Systems – Gain experience with an EAP system, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and more
  • Organization and Tracking – Support the Planning department with updating reports that are used for planning purposes. Communicate this information with our customer service to keep customers informed
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with the purchasing team, planning specialist, shop floor operators, and manufacturing managers to ensure the accuracy in production planning.

Interns at Flexco can expect to…

  • Participate in 10-12 weeks of our immersive internship program,
  • Experience the Flow of Flexco – weekly meetings with various departments across the business to understand the importance of their role and function within the organization,
  • Take part in monthly workshops on resume writing, LinkedIn networking, interview do’s and don’ts, and presentation skills 
  • And showcase what you’ve learned with a capstone presentation at the end of the summer – highlight a large project/multiple projects you’ve worked on and share your experiences with Flexco’s values.

Requirements

  1. Full-time, on-site availability (40 hours/week)
  2. Currently enrolled in college/university with Fall 2026 registration confirmed
  3. Must be a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Supply Chain or a related field

Qualifications

 

  • Interest in manufacturing and production planning
  • Comfortable engaging with shop floor employees and asking questions
  • Experience with Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
