This role is about helping people feel safe, understood, and able to stay in the home they love. We are seeking Care Professionals who will support two clients in nearby communities with different routines, both requiring a calm, respectful, companionship-first approach. We’re looking someone who can build trust first, then gently guide daily routines and help ensure important needs are met.
What This Role Requires
- Experience with early-stage dementia or memory support
- Help maintain daily structure and routine
- Assist with light housekeeping and organization
- Confidence with meal prep and encouraging eating and hydration
- Drive to appointments and errands, including trips into Dubuque as needed.
- Use patience and timing to encourage (not force) daily care routines such as showering
- Support safe mobility and awareness for a client who uses a walker
- Know when to step in versus step back — balancing independence with gentle follow-through
- Your presence should allow a family caregiver to confidently step away and truly rest, knowing their loved one is safe
- Comfortable with being around multiple cats in one of the homes
Schedule
- Monday & Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Strong attendance and reliability are essential.

Qualifications
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
- Demonstrated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
