Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, API Q1, ASTM, and customer quality requirements
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and related documentation
  • Lead internal, process, and product audits; support customer and third-party audits
  • Analyze quality data, trends, NCRs, and CPARs to drive corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and suppliers to support continuous improvement initiatives

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and records
  • Conduct PFMEA/DFMEA, MSA, SPC, and process capability studies
  • Manage calibration programs, gauge R&R activities, and inspection equipment
  • Investigate nonconformances, validate corrective actions, and prevent recurrence
  • Develop inspection methods for receiving, in-process, and final inspections
  • Support training activities and maintain training records and matrices
  • Participate in Management of Change (MOC), risk assessments, and management reviews
  • Prepare quality metrics related to scrap, rework, and customer escapes
  • Comply with all safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE in manufacturing area
  • Up to 10% domestic travel may be required

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 3–5 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing quality systems
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and API Q1 standards
  • Experience with SPC, SQC, and core quality tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
  • Manufacturing experience; fiberglass experience is a plus
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and spend extended time in manufacturing areas
