Job Description

This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position located in Lyon County and will work with the Lyon County School District. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool.  As vacancies occur, they are filled from the pool.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assist the CNA faculty member to properly prepare classroom and clinical lab space for learning and skills practice.
•Support the CNA faculty member in teaching basic CNA clinical skills
•Under the direction of the faculty member, provide feedback to learners regarding their ability to perform CNA skills and adherence to patient care standards.
•Communicate effectively with students, other teaching assistants, and the faculty member throughout classroom and clinical activities.
•Travel to multiple school sites as needed to support CNA instruction
•Setting up the laboratory for each class exercise, including organization and distribution of equipment, supplies, and handouts
•Other duties as assigned
•Adhere to all LCSD policies and procedures

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED.
•Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
•CPR/First Aid certification.
