Job Description

The student serves in a leadership capacity in which they represent a department, program, office, and/or the institution, more broadly. The position may require public speaking and regular communications with on-campus and off-campus stakeholders. Possesses strong interpersonal skills, works well as a team and with diverse groups of people. Possesses a positive attitude, has a high energy level, flexibility, integrity, good time management and communication skills, and the ability to problem solve and manage conflict. 

Duties: 

  • Assist in the implementation and execution of Fall Transfer New Student Orientation (NSO) 
  • Serve as a representative for the college and NSO program 
  • To be knowledgeable resource for incoming transfer students and their families/guests. 
  • Lead an assigned group of transfer students through the entirety of NSO 
  • Provide assistance to assigned group of transfer students as needed throughout the fall semester 
  • Attend approximately 4 full days of training 
  • Attend all assigned NSO events
  • Role model professional behavior at all times 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Position Length: 

  • April (higher date) - December (end of fall semester)
