The student serves in a leadership capacity in which they represent a department, program, office, and/or the institution, more broadly. The position may require public speaking and regular communications with on-campus and off-campus stakeholders. Possesses strong interpersonal skills, works well as a team and with diverse groups of people. Possesses a positive attitude, has a high energy level, flexibility, integrity, good time management and communication skills, and the ability to problem solve and manage conflict.
Duties:
- Assist in the implementation and execution of Fall Transfer New Student Orientation (NSO)
- Serve as a representative for the college and NSO program
- To be knowledgeable resource for incoming transfer students and their families/guests.
- Lead an assigned group of transfer students through the entirety of NSO
- Provide assistance to assigned group of transfer students as needed throughout the fall semester
- Attend approximately 4 full days of training
- Attend all assigned NSO events
- Role model professional behavior at all times
- Other duties as assigned
