Elementary Stem Faculty (TK-Grade 3)

Part-Time – 10 -months, Exempt, Category 6

Salary Range: $60,000-$90,000

(Salary will be prorated based on # of classes assigned)

 

Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Part-Time Elementary STEM Teacher to inspire young learners in grades Transitional Kindergarten through 3rd grade. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity and a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on, age-appropriate lessons that encourage exploration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging STEM lessons aligned with grade-level standards and developmental needs.
  • Introduce foundational concepts in science, technology, engineering, and math through interactive activities and projects.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
  • Use inquiry-based learning strategies to promote curiosity and experimentation.
  • Integrate technology tools appropriately to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress through informal and formal methods, providing feedback to students and families as needed.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support cross-curricular connections.
  • Maintain classroom materials, supplies, and STEM equipment.
  • Ensure a safe and organized learning environment at all times.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, STEM-related field, or a related discipline (teaching credential preferred but not required).
  • Experience working with young children (TK–3rd grade) in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of elementary STEM concepts and teaching strategies.
  • Ability to design hands-on, engaging, and developmentally appropriate lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for fostering creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young learners.
  • Ability to teach from a Christ-centered Biblical Worldview.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching credential or certification in elementary education.
  • Experience with project-based learning or STEM programs.
  • Familiarity with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards).
  • Experience integrating technology (e.g., coding basics, educational apps, robotics kits).

 

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-time position (hours/days flexible based on program needs).
  • Compensation based on experience and qualifications.
