POSITION:                   ART TEACHER - OCEAN SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL.

COMMENCING DATE:  JULY 1, 2026

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Class A Mississippi Teacher's License with Art endorsement: 102
2. Knowledge and skills in classroom instructional methods and management
3. Commitment to student-centered learning 
4. Knowledge of Mississippi Curriculum Frameworks                                        
5. Commitment to integration of technology into daily instruction
6. Interpersonal skills in working with students, professional colleagues, administration, parents, and community
7. Strong written and oral communication skills: grammar, spelling, punctuation
8. Good physical condition with ability to lift 10 pounds.

LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 187 days per School Year - Certified/Exempt

JOB DESCRIPTION: Teach classes in accordance with all policies and procedures as stated in Ocean Springs School Board Policies. 

SALARY: Commensurate with the Ocean Springs salary schedule for certified positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
 

Any person desiring to transfer within the system must adhere to School Board Policy GBE.
