Opportunity Highlights 

  • Join the busy practice of 1 Cardiothoracic Surgeon & 1 APP

  • *Experience of at least 100 vein harvests is required

  • 1:2 call. APP's are called in on average of 10-15 times/year for a procedure. Call is 10 days/month

  • Full range of cardiology services, including non-invasive, invasive, interventional, & EP working together with cardiac surgery & vascular surgery services 

  • Cardiology team consists of 10 physicians, 7 APP's, and 10 fellows

  • Located at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center- 342 bed regional referral teaching hospital 

  • Level III Trauma Center with 24/7 staffed ED and hospitalist services, helicopter, and state-of-the-art cath labs 

  • The physicians & staff are committed to providing patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of cardiovascular disease & the promotion of good health!

 

Opportunity Details

  • Competitive guaranteed base salary starting at $180,905/year! + $25k starting bonus! + $30-35k call pay/year - over $235k package in year 1!

    • Call Pay- $150 daily rate; $250 Saturday/Sunday/holidays 

    • +$300 for procedure call in (~10-15/year) 

    • $30-35k minimum call pay/year on-top of base salary 

  • Full benefits package, including paid malpractice & tail coverage, $3,000/year CME, 34 days of PTO/year, health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, generous employer retirement contribution, etc.  

 

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center 

  • Regional health system covering 14 counties, includes MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, seven critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa

  • Teaching hospital with Family Medicine & Internal Medicine Residency Programs, Cardiology & Interventional Cardiology Fellowship & Pharmacy Residency. 

  • Network service area - approximately 300,000 

Candidates 

  • BC as an ARNP or PA; must be able to obtain an Iowa medical license, DEA, and CSA as well as MercyOne North Iowa medical staff privileges 

  • **Experience required- must have a minimum of 100 vein harvests to be considered for this opportunity.
