Job Summary
Designs and implements digital services to meet Business requirements. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless digital solutions. Monitors and optimizes digital solutions for performance and scalability.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and analyze technical requirements.
• Documents technical processes and provides training to support teams
• Owns the overall technical quality, performance, security, continuity and availability of the products in scope.
• Translates business requirements into Technical solutions to optimize business experience.
• Analyse problems and provide problem solving expertise to ensure complex issues are resolved efficiently within the stipulated timeframe while also meeting the satisfaction of the user.
• Proactively share knowledge and experiences in focus groups, with colleagues from own and other teams with a similar technical focus.
• Collaborate with Product Owners/ Service Owners/ Business Process Owners/ Business Process Experts to craft clear business requirements and deliver prototypes and products within timelines/ sprints.
• Be the trusted advisor for Product Owner/ Service Owners/ Business Process Owners/ Business Process Experts for the product area.
• Integrates digital services with existing platforms and third-party applications.
Critical Experiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, providing foundational knowledge in software development, systems integration, and digital technologies.
• Hands-on experience in digital service creation and management, including requirements analysis, technical solution design, and integration of digital services with existing platforms.
• Relevant professional certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or ITIL Foundation to support agile collaboration and service management practices.
Role Overview
The SAP BTP Consultant will design, implement, and support cloud integrations, extensions, APIs, workflow automations, and applications built on SAP Business Technology Platform.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh).
• Build cloud extensions using SAP Extension Suite (CAP, Node.js, Java, SAP Build Apps, SAPUI5/Fiori).
• Develop and maintain APIs, security roles, destinations, and BTP subaccount configurations.
• Ensure seamless connectivity with ECC/S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, IBP, BW, and non-SAP systems.
• Monitor integration workloads, perform RCA, and drive corrective actions.
• Resolve incidents within SLA, ensuring stable global operations across regions.
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, AMS partners, and functional teams.
• Maintain technical documentation, integration catalogs, and runbooks.
• Identify automation opportunities and modernize legacy interfaces using BTP services.
Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of experience in SAP BTP (Integration Suite & Extension Suite).
• Strong hands-on experience with CPI (iFlows, Groovy scripts, mappings), API Management, BTP Security, Event Mesh.
• Experience integrating with ECC/S4, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, IBP, and 3rd-party systems.
• Strong debugging, monitoring, and RCA capabilities.
• Ability to design technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and test scenarios.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder alignment abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with CAP (Node.js/Java), SAPUI5/Fiori, SAP Build Apps, Cloud Foundry, or Kyma runtime.
• Knowledge of ABAP (basic level) for backend troubleshooting.
• Experience with DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for CI/CD.
• Certification in SAP BTP, Integration Suite, or Extension Suite.
• Exposure to ITIL processes and Agile/Scrum methodology.
