We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher to coordinate and schedule service calls for our plumbing, heating and cooling, and electrical teams. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring efficient operations, timely service delivery, and a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch technicians for service, maintenance, and emergency calls
- Communicate with customers to confirm appointments, provide updates, and address inquiries
- Monitor technician routes and adjust schedules as needed to maximize efficiency
- Prioritize service calls based on urgency and availability
- Maintain accurate records of jobs, customer interactions, and technician status
- Coordinate with field technicians to ensure they have necessary job details and materials
- Handle incoming calls and service requests in a professional and timely manner
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts or service issues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous dispatching or customer service experience preferred (especially in home services)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with scheduling software and basic computer systems
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in plumbing, HVAC, or electrical service industries
- Familiarity with dispatch or field service management software
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
