Job Description
  • Develops, implements and monitors quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Monitors and inspects documentation and performance of aircraft and support equipment maintenance, reviewing other people's work and determining accuracy and conformity.
  • Performs audits and inspections of work centers and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities.
  • May team lead and supervise junior personnel.
  • Specific position training and certification requirements may be required by the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series and other maintenance instructions.

Education: High School diploma or GED. For commercial derivative aircraft, must be FAA certified and have A&P License.

Experience:(Must Have)

  • Four years of aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, modification, and flight-line operations performance within NAVAIRINST 3710.1(series) or CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) equivalent maintenance systems.
  • Prior experience with military drone aircraft
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAA maintenance programs.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to understand and execute project requirements and how requirements interface with the daily maintenance tasks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of scheduled tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing aircraft maintenance data systems. Knowledgeable of supply/ logistics policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated technical writing ability.

    Other desired experience: Qualified Safe for Flight. Work Center Supervisor. Two years of NAWC/ NAVAIR experience. Prior experience operating under NAMP policies and procedures
