The Assembler position is responsible for performing diversified mechanical bench assembly operations to build large and small components to precise specification requirements.
What you will do:

Perform assembly, rework, and inspection in the production of finished products for manufacturing.

Utilize hand tools, fixtures, pneumatics, manual presses and power tools for the assembly of components.

Work from verbal as well as documented work instructions, bill of materials, pre-established guidelines, complex assembly drawings and blueprints.

Use a variety of precision measuring instruments, gauging devices and test equipment to verify proper function and operation of assemblies.

Keep control of materials needed for the department.

Determine ways to consistently improve productivity, quality and safety.

Cleaning responsibilities including equipment and work area.

Follow established procedures as well as quality and safety standards

Maintain safe work environment

Work under supervision

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
We are looking for:
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Versatility required to perform many and varied other assembly and soldering operations manually.

Must have reasonable dexterity in hands to manipulate small parts.

Ability to read blueprints preferred
Additional Characteristics:

Work as both an individual contributor and in a team environment

Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly required

May require standing and/or sitting for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day

Good manually dexterity and visual acuity required

Ability to learn and use of a variety of equipment including hand tools and calibrated measuring equipment in the normal performance of their jobs such as, but not limited to: calipers, plug gauges, drop indicators, force gauges, torque measuring screwdrivers, oscilloscope, dial gauges, torque wrenches, micrometers, and specially designed PMT manufacturing measuring equipment

May be exposed to various industrial cleaning chemicals and oils
