Job Description Summary:
Responsible for coordinating all employment and recruitment activities for various positions of the facility, including licensed, professional, clerical and support services. This includes interviewing, screening and referral of applicants to hiring departments, as well as retention activities. Works closely with designated departments to insure WTH is hiring the best possible talent.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Reviews, screens, interviews and maintains on-going contact with prospective employees; refers candidates to appropriate supervisor and maintains current file of viable candidates for employment.
- Coordinates the employee transfer and promotion system in relation to areas of responsibility.
- Collaborates with Department Directors concerning staffing needs and develop department specific recruitment plans.
- Verifies background information from educational institutions attended by qualified candidates. Initiates reference checks on selected applicants for verification of work performance and attendance from past or present employer(s).
- Represents hospital at events such as Career Days, other recruitment activities and events discussing health care career opportunities, as needed.
- Research and recommend new sources for candidates.
- In conjunction with designated departments, manages the requisition process and job descriptions.
- Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:
- N/A
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Skill and proficiency in the principles, concepts, and techniques of the Employment and Recruitment function.
- Knowledge in the management of the employment and recruitment functions, employment laws, EEO laws and interviewing techniques.
- Personal Computer experience required.
