    Position Title: Instructional Coach
    Reports To: Principal or Director of Curriculum and Instruction
    Location: Prairie-Hills Junior High School
    Employment Type: Full-Time
    Position Overview
    The Instructional Coach serves as a key support for teachers, promoting effective instructional practices that improve student learning outcomes. This role involves mentoring, modeling, and collaborating with educators to enhance curriculum delivery, classroom management, and data-driven instruction.
    Key Responsibilities

     
    • Teacher Support & Development
      • Provide one-on-one coaching to teachers through observation, feedback, and goal-setting.
      • Facilitate professional development workshops and training sessions.
      • Model effective instructional strategies in classrooms.
    • Curriculum & Instruction
      • Collaborate with teachers to design and refine lesson plans aligned with standards.
      • Support implementation of school-wide instructional initiatives and best practices.
      • Assist in integrating technology and differentiated instruction into teaching.
    • Data Analysis & Student Achievement
      • Help teachers analyze student performance data to inform instruction.
      • Monitor progress and support intervention strategies for struggling learners.
      • Collaborate with staff to set measurable goals for student achievement.
    • Collaboration & Leadership
      • Serve as a liaison between administration and teaching staff.
      • Participate in school improvement planning and curriculum committees.
      • Foster a culture of continuous learning and reflective practice.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Education (Master’s preferred)
    • Valid teaching certification
    • Minimum 3–5 years of successful classroom teaching experience
    • Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum design, and assessment
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
    Preferred Skills
    • Experience with instructional coaching or mentoring
    • Familiarity with professional learning communities (PLCs)
    • Proficiency in educational technology tools
    • Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality
    Work Schedule & Compensation
    • Full-time, 10-month position aligned with the academic calendar
    • Salary commensurate with experience and district guidelines (comparable to the teacher salary schedule)
