Reports to: Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator supports daily Transportation, Salvage, Warehouse, and Clearance Center operations by coordinating schedules, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with reporting, compliance, and administrative functions. This role plays a key part in keeping operations organized, compliant, and running efficiently in alignment with Goodwill’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Operations Manager to prepare and maintain route schedules for drivers and salvage pick-ups
- Maintain weekly schedules; reconcile daily sales receipts; and prepare accurate, timely daily and weekly reports
- Assist with recordkeeping for maintenance and repairs of transportation, salvage, and warehouse equipment, including DOT inspections, DMV documentation, accident reports, and internal tracking reports
- Coordinate salvage load pick-ups (textiles, metal, auto sales, etc.), sales documentation, and payment processing
- Support scheduling, payroll preparation, and performance review documentation as requested
- Assist with the sale and disposition of fixed assets (trailers, tractors, box trucks, company vehicles) as needed
- Coordinate store supply orders and maintain related records
- Ensure compliance with Goodwill policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Attend management meetings as required
- Provide operational support to other locations as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in an administrative, logistics, transportation, or operations support role preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Working knowledge of scheduling, recordkeeping, and reporting processes
- Familiarity with DOT, DMV, or transportation documentation preferred
- Proficiency with basic office technology and reporting tools
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across teams
