Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Work Term: 4 Months (Sept. 2026 - Dec. 2026) or 8 Months (Sept. 2026 - Apr. 2027)

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $21.80 - $27.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co-op work terms completed.

Join Our Team as a HR Assistant - Operations (Co-op)!

The HR Operations Assistant is responsible for updating systems such as the HRIS, Learning Management System, and Absence Tracking System. They are also responsible for handling general administrative duties, assisting with HR projects, and promoting employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update the HRIS, Learning Management System, and Absence Tracking System
  • Assist in coordinating service awards and other HR programs
  • Answer employee inquiries about HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Promote employee engagement by participating and supporting various S&C events
  • Perform HR administrative duties
  • Provide support for other HR projects

What you’ll Need To Succeed:

  • Post-secondary student enrolled in Human Resources Management program, or a similar field
  • Eligible for a 4 or 8 month co-op work term starting in Fall 2026
  • Excellent interpersonal, time-management, and customer service skills
  • Good computer skills: Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally in all written and verbal communications
  • A team player who is also able to work independently with minimum supervision

Physical Effort:

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

Work Environment:

Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
