A Food Runner, sometimes combined with the Expo role, is responsible for bridging the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring that meals are delivered promptly, accurately, and in a presentable manner. Key Responsibilities
- Food Delivery: Transport food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables quickly and accurately, ensuring proper temperature and presentation.
- Quality Control: Check each dish against the order ticket, inspect garnishes, portion sizes, and overall plate appearance before serving.
- Communication: Relay special requests, dietary restrictions, and modifications between chefs, servers, and other staff.
