Instructional Assistant/SPED Personal Care - Licensed Practical Nurse


Location: Copper Canyon Elementary School


9 months, 6.5 hours/day


Grade 26/Step 24, $27.37/hour


Non-Interim Position


Dates: 08/01/2026 - 05/27/2027


 




 


This job reports to Elementary School Nurse


 


Essential Functions


Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.


 


Observe, record, and report to the school nurse the condition of the student including signs and symptoms, which may be indicative of a change in the patient's condition.


 


Provide for the emotional and physical comfort of the student.


 


Assist in the care of the student in accordance with the student's care plan.


 


Assist as needed with other students in program.


 


Other job-related duties as assigned.


 




Experience:    Previous experience working with severely handicapped


children Effective communication skills


 


Education:      High School Diploma or GED



 


Required Testing                                   Certificates and Licenses


                                                                        Possession of a current license to


                                                                        practice as a licensed practical nurse
