Job Summary:

Join Pearl Pointe at Pearl Pointe in Freeport, Illinois, as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) and play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to help patients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. Our COTA team is dedicated to creating a strong foundation for a healthy community, and we're seeking a passionate and skilled professional to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed occupational therapists in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans

  • Conduct assessments, interventions, and evaluations to enhance patient function and independence

  • Use therapeutic activities and exercises to promote mobility, strength, and flexibility

  • Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for daily living skills

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs and goals

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatment and progress

Requirements:

  • Currently certified as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the NBCOT

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy assistant preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic knowledge of restorative care principles and practices
