As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to help patients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. Responsibilities:
Assist licensed occupational therapists in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans
Conduct assessments, interventions, and evaluations to enhance patient function and independence
Use therapeutic activities and exercises to promote mobility, strength, and flexibility
Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for daily living skills
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs and goals
Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatment and progress
Requirements:
Currently certified as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the NBCOT
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy assistant preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of restorative care principles and practices
