| 4th Grade Teacher | JobID: 562 |
PURPOSE:
Effective teaching has always been a complex process; as our curriculum adapts to meet the skills our students will need to be successful in the future, there are significant implications for teachers. Student centered methods like problem-based learning and project-based learning allow students to collaborate, work on authentic problems, and engage with the community. Teaching our students to think, work together better and use information more rigorously will be vital. These methods will require teachers to be knowledgeable about a broad range of topics and make in-the-moment decisions about lesson design.
A classroom teacher will be responsible for all domains of the Danielson Framework, including Content and Pedagogy, Classroom Environment, Instruction, and Professional Responsibilities. As part of the Park View community, the classroom teacher will be responsible for not only actively engaging students in Common Core aligned instruction, but also being an active member of a professional learning community.
