Job Title: Job Search Navigator
This position supports the Department of Defense’s Spouse Education & Career Opportunities (SECO) contract, as part of the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) team. The Job Search Navigator will work with Career Coaches and MSEP Specialists to assist military spouses in identifying MSEP job opportunities that align with the spouse’s background and goals. The location for this position is open as Zeiders may offer the option of telework within designated geographical areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct job research and referral services on behalf of MSEP to facilitate employment opportunities for SECO military spouse population.
- Develop an understanding of MSEP partner organizations including industry types, levels of positions, hiring initiatives, etc.
- Connect regularly with MSEP Specialists to document hiring trends for each company or organization in the network.
- Research MSEP job postings to stay current on opportunities available across the partnership.
- Document and update military spouse job tracking records in the SECO Opportunities and Resource System (SOARS) with all pertinent metrics data and results. Maintain additional correspondence between Career Coaches and reporting as required.
- Work with Career Coaches to receive information about the military spouse and research potential job opportunities within the partnership.
- Attend MSEP meetings to keep current on hiring initiatives.
- Attend Career Coach meetings to share information on JSN services and hiring initiatives.
- Liaise between Career Coaches, MSEP Specialists, and MSEP partners on behalf of the spouse, as needed to facilitate employment connections.
- Perform ad-hoc job research and reporting services as assigned to support MSEP recruitment activities.

Required Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, human/social services or related field OR Four years’ experience providing social services, behavioral health, or adult training.
- Three (3) years' experience in training development and delivery, public speaking, group presentation and facilitation skills preferably in adult education, medical or non-medical setting.
- Two (2) years' experience supervising or overseeing the delivery of social services and/or education programs, systems and services.
- Must be positive and motivated with excellent communications skills and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
- Strong technology skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), as well as ability to navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to oversee and balance multiple priorities and projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication etiquette.
- Must be able to follow established business processes and demonstrate a strong customer focus.
- Must be able to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, customer-service environment.
- Must have home internet service with speeds in excess of 3Mb in both directions (upload and download) through a broadband internet service (e.g., Cable, Fios, etc. as opposed to DSL, Satellite, dial-up).
- All positions that require access to U.S. Government facilities and systems require U.S. Citizenship.
- You will need to complete and clear the full government background check process based on your role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the mobile military culture and lifestyle.
- Experience working in a service operations environment.
- Former Military or Military Spouse or Veteran or Wounded Warrior.
Physical Demands: Works in office areas. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Uses personal computer, telephone, copiers, printers and other office equipment.
