Position Summary



The IT Solutions Architect provides enterprise level architectural leadership for GSA’s internal HR systems. This role drives technology strategy, establishes architectural standards, and ensures alignment across programs and portfolios. As a senior technical authority, the Architect guides major decisions, mentors architecture teams, and leads innovation efforts that shape the future of HR technology



 



Essential Duties & Responsibilities




  • Lead enterprise architecture strategy, governance, and long term HR technology planning.

  • Develop architectural standards, patterns, and reference architectures for HR systems and integrations.

  • Guide technology selection, modernization roadmaps, and enterprise wide platform decisions.

  • Advise senior leadership on strategic technology direction and system investment priorities.

  • Oversee architecture review boards and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

  • Mentor architects and build organizational architectural capabilities.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation across HR programs.

  • Ensure architectural alignment, interoperability, and consistency across systems, portfolios, and modernization initiatives.
