POSITION: 1- Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
LOCATION: Exceptional Student Education / District Office
ANNUAL EMPLOYMENT: 7.50 hours per day/196 Days
SALARY RANGE: $33.68/hr - $35.00/hr
(While in effect, additional compensation from the Millage initiative will be awarded annually. For the 2025-26 school year, the amount for this position is $6,127 and will be prorated from July 1, 2026.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
*(1) Consult with supervising therapist, parents, teachers, physicians and others involved with the care of the student
*(2) Provide treatment based on current IEP
*(3) Maintain records for auditing purposes including daily flow sheets, progress reports and billing notes
*(4) Establish schedules of therapy sessions
(5) Consult with and provide in-service to classroom teachers and school staff
(6) Consult with parents on home therapy activities
(7) Select materials and equipment for therapy
(8) Assist in developing district procedures for physical therapy
(9) Perform other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds as needed to move objects.
