Job Description: Marketing & Product Intern

Company: Malco Group

Department: Marketing

Reports To: VP of Marketing

Location: Annandale, MN

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) | Flexible start (May or end of school) through Labor Day (September or start of school)

Position Overview:

This is a hands-on internship designed to provide meaningful, real-world experience—not observational work. Interns are embedded within a fast-paced marketing and product organization, supporting a multi-brand portfolio across tools, pumps, chemicals, and worksite solutions.

The role offers direct exposure to product launches, cross-functional workflows, and data-driven decision-making, with a focus on understanding how marketing initiatives contribute to revenue growth in a B2B environment.

Essential Duties:

Marketing & Content Support

·       Assist with execution of product launches, campaigns, and sales enablement materials

·       Support website updates, product pages, and digital content across brands

·       Help organize and prepare assets for distributors, eCommerce, and retail partners

PIM / DAM & File Management

·       Maintain, update and organize product data in Product Information Management (PIM) systems

·       Upload, tag, and audit assets in Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms

·       Ensure product listings are complete, accurate, and channel-ready (images, specs, copy)

·       Help clean up legacy files and improve overall data structure and usability

Product Management & Beta Program Support

·       Support a new product beta testing program (coordination, tracking, and feedback collection)

·       Assist in gathering field insights from contractors, distributors, and internal teams

·       Help document product performance, issues, and opportunities for improvement

·       Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and sales teams

What You’ll Learn

·       How a multi-brand industrial portfolio goes to market

·       Real-world application of PIM, DAM, and product data strategy

·       Product launch processes from concept to commercialization

·       How marketing, sales, and product teams align to drive growth

Education/Experience:

·       Current college student or recent graduate (Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field)

·       Strong attention to detail — this role touches a lot of product data and files

·       Organized and comfortable working with systems, spreadsheets, and structured data

·       Self-starter who can take direction and run with tasks

·       Interest in product marketing, eCommerce, or product management
